JO LEVY THERAPY

MSc, BSc, BACP (Accredited)

I am a therapist, supervisor and trainer with over 20  years' clinical experience. I have worked in various settings, most recently in the HE sector, as Head of Mental Health and Counselling Outreach and Training.

My therapeutic training and background is in the psychodynamic modality, however I work flexibly with the clients' needs at the core. As a queer therapist, I offer a safe, confidential and open therapeutic space, which is inclusive of and compassionate towards all aspects of client identity.

I offer short and longer-term therapy, both online or in-person. I provide individual or group supervision. I deliver mental health training.

My areas of clinical experience and particular interest:

Identity

Gender

Relationships and Sexuality

Body image

Disordered Eating

Exercise Addiction

In the university setting, my work has also focussed on high risk and complex presentations related to:

Bereavement

Self-harm

Suicidal ideation
